How to Choose Halloween Decor...

When it comes to decorations, Halloween has become almost as popular as Christmas. People now spend hundreds of dollars choosing lights and inflatable figures. Not to mention the amount spent to power all of these decorations. With all the choices available, how do you choose Halloween decorations that will suit your home?

1 Choose a theme. Before you go shopping, you need to consider what type of theme you’re going for. Otherwise, you'll end up with both cute and scary Halloween decorations. Choosing a theme is easier than you might think. You simply need to ask yourself if you want a home that is inviting to children or adults. Once you’ve picked a theme, it will be much easier to choose Halloween decorations that compliment each other.

 2
Consider the size of your yard. Nothing looks worse than a yard that is overrun with decorations. This means that you need to truly consider the size of your yard. As you choose different Halloween decorations, ask yourself if each piece will fit nicely in your yard or be crammed together. Truth be told, a few well placed pieces make a bigger impact than several pieces that are crammed into a small space.

  • Step 2
Consider the size of your yard. Nothing looks worse than a yard that is overrun with decorations. This means that you need to truly consider the size of your yard. As you choose different Halloween decorations, ask yourself if each piece will fit nicely in your yard or be crammed together. Truth be told, a few well placed pieces make a bigger impact than several pieces that are crammed into a small space.

  • Step 3
Look at your budget. While it is important to not overdo it, it’s also important to consider your budget. What this means is you shouldn’t spend the bulk of your budget on one item. When you choose Halloween decorations, make sure to spread out the cost. This will ensure that you have enough pieces, rather than one large piece.

  • Step 4
Think about energy use. Before you choose your Halloween decorations, think about energy costs. Many Halloween decorations are now electric, which means you will be using more power during October. Even though you will only be using more power in the evenings, the price can still add up. Choose your items carefully.

  • Step 5
Shop early. Halloween decorations should go up during the first week of October. That way, you and your neighbors have a chance to fully enjoy them. Of course, this also means that the good pieces will be snatched up in September. If you shop early, you’ll have a much better selection to choose from
